The Shieldwall Brotherhood C.I.C — November Newsletter

November has been one of our biggest months yet, filled with growth, laughter, hard work and moments that truly show what this Brotherhood is all about. What some people see as “just a group of men hanging out,” we see as men smiling, supporting each other, opening up, and building real friendships. That’s the heart of the Shieldwall — and November proved it once again.

Liverpool: A Month of Solid Brotherhood

Our Liverpool lads have absolutely smashed it this month.

We’ve kept up two walks a week down Otterspool, giving the lads a chance to get fresh air, talk, de-stress, and have a laugh. These walks have become a proper routine now — and the turnout has been brilliant.

We also continued our weekly video calls, which have been massive for the lads who need that space to talk openly. Whether it’s a tough week or just a catch-up, these calls show the strength of our community.

A standout moment came when two of our Liverpool lads travelled to New York — and they took the Shieldwall flag with them! Seeing our flag held up in Times Square was something special and a reminder of how far this Brotherhood reaches.

Member of the Month — Ste Lockhart

A huge shoutout to Ste, who earned Member of the Month for November.

He’s thrown himself into the group from day one — turning up, getting involved, supporting everyone, and showing what Brotherhood is all about. Massive respect, lad. Fully deserved.

A Surprise Celebration for Nev

Behind the scenes, Nev puts in a massive amount of work for the Brotherhood. So this month, the lads got together and surprised him with a birthday celebration. It was a proper wholesome moment and a chance to show him how much he’s appreciated.

York Trip — A Massive Day Out

We wrapped up the month by jumping in the mini bus and heading up to York.

It was a day full of laughs, sightseeing, bonding, and memories that’ll stick with us for a long time. What some see as “just a day out” is actually men building connections and breaking the stigma around talking. That’s exactly why we do this.

National Growth — Two New Brotherhoods Launched

November wasn’t just big for Liverpool — it was huge for the Shieldwall as a whole.

Basingstoke Brotherhood

We officially opened a brand-new Brotherhood in Basingstoke, with their first meet taking place on the 4th of December. Tony and the lads down there are building a strong team already.

Rotherham Brotherhood

We also launched our Rotherham group, which has already seen brilliant engagement from the lads getting involved. Another step towards supporting more men across the UK.

This growth shows how needed this movement is, and how many men are looking for exactly what we’ve created.

Final Thoughts

November captured everything the Shieldwall Brotherhood stands for:

Support. Laughter. Togetherness. Growth.

And most importantly — men realising they’re not alone.

Thank you to every lad who’s walked with us, talked with us, joined a call, turned up at events, or helped build the new Brotherhoods.

December is shaping up to be even bigger — and we’re ready for it.
